Caption: Natural gas storage. Several cylindrical tanks used to store treated sour gas. Also seen in the background is yellow sulphur which is a by-product of this process. Sour gas is natural gas which is rich in hydrogen sulphide (formula H2.S). Before sour gas can be used the hydrogen sulphide impurity is broken down into inert sulphur. Once purified the natural gas is known as 'sweet' gas. Photographed in Alberta, Canada.
