Caption: Horse chesthuts. Seeds of the Horse chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum). The seeds may be ground and used as a type of edible flour. If roasted, the seeds yield a substitute for coffee which acts as a tonic. The most common use for the seeds, however, is the children's sport of 'conkers'.
