Caption: Burclover seed pods. Burclover (Medicago polymorpha) belongs to the Fabaceae family of plants. It is native to Europe but has become an invasive weed in North America. The seed pod (burr) is covered with hooks that can attach themselves to the fur or clothing of passing animals or people. Burclover is also known as burr clover and hairy medick.
