Caption: Coaxial cable terminated with a BNC connector. The BNC (bayonet Neill-Concelman) connector is very popular for termination of RF coaxial cables. Male and female BNC connectors allow for cables to be easily connected and disconnected without jeopardizing their RF performance. Such connectors are used almost exclusively in electronic test equipment manufactured over the past several decades. Shown here is a male BNC connector with an electronic unit in the background (SRS Delay Generator, no brand name visible). April 2007.
