Circuit board production. Array of assembled printed circuit boards (PCBs) on a production line. PCBs are circuit boards where the circuitry is printed and etched using templates and chemical techniques. This allows uniform production and high density of circuitry compared to manual techniques. Components, such as capacitors, resistors and microchips, are then added to the circuit board to make the final electronic product. These circuit boards are for use in medical instruments, and are being assembled at the Altonika company in Moscow, Russia. Photographed in 2007.
