Saint $ilicon at prayer on the Californian coast. Saint $ilicon, alias former computer employee Jeffrey Armstrong, is the founder of the first computer religion, the Church of Heuristic Information Processing (CHIP). His aim is to make people less afraid of microchip technology. The bedrock of CHIP is two-fold, the 'Keyboard Prayer' handed to Saint $ilicon by the deity G.O.D. (Giver of Data), and the Binary Bible. Saint $ilicon preaches both at public meetings and at corporate functions. His inter-denominational church encompasses the Cathodelics, Bootists and CMOSlems, and even allows procedures such as bar- code mitzvahs and circuitcisions.
