Caption: Virtual reality display. Users interacting with a virtual reality display of moving kites. Virtual reality (VR) is where a person interacts with a computer-generated reality, usually for training, leisure or educational purposes. The person wears goggles that depict the environment in which they are moving. This display is part of the annual Nicephore Days exhibition in Chalon-sur-Saone, France. The kite animation was designed by Jackie Matisse-Monnier, the grand-daughter of the French painter Henri Matisse. Photographed in 2003.
