Caption: AH-64A Apache attack helicopter in flight. This military helicopter was first produced in 1983, but only entered active service with the US Army in 1989. It is armed with two sets of Hydra 70 rockets (in the cylinder under the stub wing), four Hellfire missiles (also under the wings) and a 30mm chain gun. It can travel at a speed of up to 360 kilometres per hour. It is manufactured by Boeing, and has been sold to several other countries, including Israel, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The UK builds its own version, the Westland WAH-64, under licence from Boeing.
