Caption: MODEL RELEASED. Underwater archaeology. Scuba diver and a Super Achille remotely operated vehicle (ROV) excavating an ancient wreck. The diver is recovering an amphora (a jar used to carry oil or wine). It is part of a cargo thought to have left the east coast of Italy between 100 and 50 BC. Photographed at the Sud-Caveaux 1 site, off the Mediterranean coast of France, at a depth of about 65 metres.
