Caption: Research submarine. Remora 2000 two-seater submarine surfacing during archaeological research. A diver carries lighting equipment at left. This Remora 2000 is operated by Comex. The clear acrylic bubble is 9.5cm thick. The submarine can manoeuvre with five thrusters. Its on-board computer can automatically maintain a fixed depth or heading. It can operate at depths as great as 610 metres, for up to 10 hours. Photographed off the Mediterranean coast of France, during research on the Sud-Caveaux 1 ancient wreck site.
