Caption: MODEL RELEASED. Marine archaeology. The crew of a research vessel unloading amphoras (a type of jar used in the ancient world to store wine or oil) recovered from an ancient wreck. The ship is the Archeonaute, owned by the French government's Department for Underwater and Undersea Archeological Research (DRASSM). The amphoras were recovered from the Sud- Caveaux 1 wreck site, off the Mediterranean coast of France.
