Caption: Conshelf Two. This underwater research station is located at a depth of ten metres in the Red Sea, off Sudan. The project, developed by Jaques Costeau in the 1960s, was the first attempt at creating a habitable environment on the sea floor. During the project, 6 oceanauts lived in the station for a period of ten days.
