Caption: Teddy Roosevelt Dam. View of the Teddy Roosevelt Dam which is part of the Salt River Project. This project was begun in 1903, in a canyon east of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The dam, forming Roosevelt lake behind it, impounds enough water to irrigate crops for two years even if no rain falls. The Dam was named after the 26th president of the USA, Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt.
