Caption: Wall painting. Mural painted on the side of a building. This is the Mural of Peace on the side of the Esperanza Unida International Building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. The mural shows a bald eagle (left) and a dove (white) holding an olive branch. Behind the birds is a map of the Americas. Above, right, and below the birds is a rainbow, different flags, and different colours of people. The bald eagle is the national symbol of the USA. A dove and an olive branch is a widely recognised symbol of peace. The mural, designed by Reynaldo Hernandez in 1991, and installed in 1993, is 18x46 metres. The mural was removed for restoration in 1999. It was reinstalled in 2001.
