Caption: Sage Gateshead during construction. The Sage Gateshead is a concert hall and music centre on the south bank of the River Tyne, Gateshead, UK. Designed by Lord Foster, this unusual building holds three rehearsal and performance halls. The building was designed to maximise the acoustic properties of the halls. The roof of the building is made from 3000 stainless steel panels and 250 glass panels.
