Caption: Marble quarry at the Fantiscritti caves, Carrara, Italy where marble has been quarried for over 2000 years. The huge blocks, already quarried from the mountainside, are trimmed by a large diamond toothed saw. Water flows from above to cool and lubricate the saw. Michelangelo used marble from Carrara for his sculptures.
