Spray painting. Worker dressed in protective clothing sprays powder paint onto components at a fork-lift truck factory. The spray-gun in the workers right hand electrostatically charges the particles of paint as they are forced out. The charged particles are attracted to the neutrally charged truck component and stick to it. The component is then heated so that the particles melt and form a uniform layer. This method reduces environmental pollution as it removes the need to mix the paint pigment with a solvent. The worker is wearing a mask to prevent contamination of his lungs, glasses to protect his eyes and overalls to protect his clothes. Photographed in Germany.
