Caption: Early horse-drawn train. Historical engraving of one of the first railways with their wagon trains drawn by a horse. This illustration is part of a share certificate issued by the Stockton and Darlington railway in 1821. However, when it opened in 1825, some trains were hauled by George Stephenson's innovative steam locomotive called "Locomotion". Engraving by J. Macaulay.
