Caption: Soviet glider Rabfakovets, 1920s. This glider was designed and built by the the Soviet aviation engineer Sergei Ilyushin (1894-1977) in the 1920s. The name means "student of the workers department". Ilyushin later went on to become a famous Soviet aircraft designer, helping to design and build many Soviet aircraft. Photographed in Russia.
