Caption: Delta wing being inspected by a researcher in a wind tunnel. A delta wing is a triangular wing used on high-speed aircraft. The wind tunnel is being used to examine the flow of air over the wing and to detect turbulence in this air flow. The results will be used to improve the design of the wing. Photographed in 1964, at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK.
