Caption: Heavy metal minerals. Historical artwork of some of the minerals of lead, chromium and antimony, as found in 19th-century mines. The minerals are: galena (lead sulphide, PbS, upper left); crocoite (lead chromate, PbCrO4, upper right); pyromorphite (lead chloride phosphate, Pb5Cl(PO4)3, centre), cerussite (lead carbonate, PbCO3, lower left); and stibnite (antimony sulphide, Sb2S3, lower right). The specimens were mined in: Freiberg, Germany (galena); Siberia, Russia (crocoite), Hofsgrund, Germany (pyromorphite), Leadhills, Scotland (cerussite) and Felsobanya, Hungary (stibnite).
