Caption: Scorpius. Medieval artwork of the constellation of Scorpius. A scorpion has been drawn using the positions of the stars (red dots). The star at centre represents Antares, the "heart" of the scorpion and the brightest star in the constell- ation. Scorpius is one of the 12 constellations used by astrologers. People born between October 23rd and November 21st are said to be Scorpios. Scorpios are thought to be energetic, passionate, intuitive and determined, but also secretive, stubborn, jealous, manipulative and unforgiving. Italian image from the 12th or 13th century; at this time astronomy and astrology were considered to be equal sciences.
