Caption: 17th century astrology. Astrological table for the French King Louis XVII (1785-1795). This table was produced in the 17th century at the time of Louis XIV (1638-1715), as part of a series of tables for the Kings of France from Louis I to a hypothetical Louis XXI. The young Louis XVII died in prison following the French Revolution in which the King his father was overthrown. The last King Louis to rule France was King Louis-Phillipe (who is considered the 19th Louis). France has been a republic ever since King Louis-Phillipe abdicated in 1848. Artwork from the Arsenal Library, Paris, France.
