Caption: Cannons mounted on camels. Historical artwork of an experimental use of camels to transport cannons around a battlefield. It was reported that the camel drivers were able to turn and fire the cannons without dismounting. However, because the camels would not stay still, accuracy was a problem. This artwork is from an 1858 issue of the Illustrated London News.
