Caption: V-series missile damage. Destroyed homes in Camberwell Road, London, England, following a German V-series missile impact during World War II. A British flag is at lower right. London was targeted by both the V-1 flying bomb and the V-2 rocket during the war. Several thousands of both type were launched during 1944 and 1945, destroying many buildings and killing many thousands in London and elsewhere.
