Caption: Jellyfish (Thysanostoma loriferum) with symbiotic fish. Jellyfish are free-swimming invertebrate animals with a translucent bell and stinging tentacles. Some fish, particularly juveniles, hide among the tentacles of jellyfish for protection from predators. The relationship is a form of symbiosis called commensalism, where the fish benefit from the association and the jellyfish is not harmed. T. loriferum is found in the Pacific Ocean around Hawaii.
