Caption: Cephea jellyfish (Cephea sp.). This is the top of the jellyfish. The ring-shaped bell (the muscular structure that is contracted to move the jellyfish through the water) is seen around this central region. Cephea jellyfish are found in warm tropical waters and have well-developed radial muscles but weaker ring muscles. The stinging tentacles (not seen) are below the bell. Jellyfish are free-swimming aquatic invertebrates that are related to the corals and anemones. Photographed in the Red Sea.
