Caption: Purple-striped jellyfish (Chrysaora colorata). This species of jellyfish has a bell which measures up to 70cm in diameter and is covered in distinctive purple stripes. In adults, the tentacles can be up to five metres long. Its diet includes zooplankton an fish eggs. This jellyfish is found in US coastal waters off California.
