Caption: Beadlet anemone (Actinia equinia). It can grow up to 50 centimetres in width. Native to the coast of Europe, it inhabits the intertidal zone up to depths of 20 centimetres. Each anemone has up to 192 tentacles arranged into 6 circles, which retract if it is disturbed. Photographed off the Mediterranean coast of France.
