Caption: Colonial anemone (Nemantus annamensis) attached to a gorgonian sea fan (Gorgonia sp.). Also referred to as the Gorgonian wrapper anemone, this species associates with other filter feeders such as sea fans and black coral. It benefits from growing over parts of these organisms because they often grow orientated against the current to maximize their food supply. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region. Photographed in the Red Sea, Egypt.
