Caption: Black-eyed feather duster tube worms (Sabella melanostigma) with extended tentacles. These polychaete worms live in tubes constructed from sand, held together with a glue secreted by their bodies. Their feathery plumes emerge from the tubes to filter the water for nutrients. They inhabit the Atlantic coast of south-eastern USA south to the West Indies.
