Caption: Speckled bush cricket (Leptophyes punctissima) on a leaf. This cricket, named for the mottling of red speckles on its abdomen, grows to around 1.5 centimetres, with the female slightly larger than the male. Adults are seen from July through to October and are found throughout much of Europe in undergrowth, where they feed on leaves.
