Caption: Flower beetle (Torynorrhina flammea) specimen. The beetle has two pairs of wings; a pair of forewings (elytra), which are brightly coloured and protect the hindwings, which it uses to fly with (not seen). The elytra can be green, teal, blue or red (shown here) and protects the insect from predators. As the name suggests, the flower beetle feeds upon flowers.
