Caption: Blowfly eggs. A cluster of eggs of the bluebottle or blowfly Calliphora erythrocephala. Blowflies are considered domestic pests. Every two weeks in summer they lay some 100 eggs on decaying plant or animal matter; within a day these eggs hatch into white maggots.
