Also known as the bullet ant, this is one of the largest of Amazonian ants and has one of the most painful stings in the animal kingdom. The conga ant measures up to 25mm in length and inhabits rainforests from Central America to the Amazon. Photographed in Yasuni National Park, Ecuador.
