Caption: A lesser spotted dog fish, Scyliorhinus canicula from Lundy island, North Devon, U.K. They are the smallest of sharks having slender bodies, a flattened head and a short round snout. Behind the longitudinally oval eye lies the relatively unnoticeable spiracle. They live along coasts dwelling mainly on the sea floor and feeding primarily on crustaceans, mollusks and worms.
