Caption: Puffer fish. Black spotted puffer fish (Arothron nigropunctatus) inflated for protection against predators. It inflates by gulping water into a body cavity. The black spotted puffer fish inhabits the warm seas of the Indo-Pacific. This fish eats smaller fish, crustaceans and molluscs, which it crushes with its powerful jaws. It may reach around 30 centimetres in length. Photographed in the Philippines.
