Caption: Harlequin ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus) male swimming in front of a crinoid, a marine invertebrate animal. This fish uses its cryptic colouration to help it avoid predators. It feeds on tiny shrimps and plankton, sucking them up through its tube-like mouth at lower centre. It reaches lengths of around 5-10 centimetres. Photographed off Sipadan, Malaysia.
