Caption: Sea goldie fish (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) swimming amongst coral. These territorial fish, also called scalefin anthias, are found on coral reefs throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific region. They are sexually dimorphic (males and females look different). The males are twice the size of the females. The females have orange to yellow scales with a purple stripe across the cheek, while the males have purple scales. Both have an orange stripe across the cheek. These fish feed mainly on plankton.
