Caption: Large painted frogfish (Antennarius pictus) camouflaged amongst coral. This fish, also known as the angler fish, is found in the Indo-Pacific region. Its camouflage hides it from both predators and prey. It hunts by remaining motionless for long periods, attracting smaller fish and crustaceans by wiggling a lure on it forehead, before taking them with a rapid gulp. Photographed in Tulamben, Bali, Indonesia.
