Caption: Ornate ghost pipefish (Solenostomus paradoxus) This species feeds mostly on mysids but also prey on small benthic shrimp. It is related to the seahorse and it can grow up to 15 centimetres. Ornate ghost pipefish are sexually dimorphic. The females are larger than the males and the females have a ventral brood pouch in which to carry their young. Photographed in Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
