Caption: Young common toad (Bufo bufo) camouflaged amongst dead leaves. This toad is found throughout Eurasia, inhabiting moist woodlands, grasslands and scrub. They must return to water to breed. The toad feeds on a wide variety of small animals, including insects, spiders, slugs, snails and even smaller toads. The common toad can reach almost ten centimetres in length, although males are smaller than females.
