Caption: Included in the group of tree frogs known commonly as ''monkey frogs'', Phyllomedusa palliata is one of the more uncommonly encountered species in the upper Amazon basin. Perhaps one of the most interestingly patterned phyllomedusines, the stippling on the flanks and the face really add to the look of the frog. This individual was photographed on a night hike at the CICRA research centre, Madre de Dios, Peru.
