Caption: Atlantic spotted dolphins (Stenella frontalis) swimming underwater. These dolphins may reach a length of just over 2 metres and weigh up to 140 kilograms. They inhabit offshore waters in warm seas, usually up to eight kilometres from shore, but come into shallow water seasonally. Atlantic dolphins live in groups of between 5 to 15 individuals. The young are born without spots, which are gradually accumulated with age. Atlantic dolphins feed on fish and squid. Photographed off the Bahamas.
