Caption: Grizzly bears. Two grizzly bears (Ursus arctos) standing at the top of a waterfall fishing for chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha). The salmon are caught as they leap up waterfalls while swimming upstream to breed. Grizzly bears are omnivorous, eating a varied diet including vegetation, fish, rodents and carrion. Adults are usually solitary but will gather at prime hunting locations. The grizzly bear is found throughout much of Europe, Asia and North America. It inhabits river valleys, mountain forests and open meadows. It can grow to 3 metres tall and weigh over 700 kilograms.
