Caption: Malagasy striped civet (Fossa fossana). The Malagasy is a native to Madagascar where it is found in both tropical and scrub forest. The animal is the second largest predator on the island after its cousin the Fossa (Cryptoprocta ferox). The Malagasy striped civet forms pairs in the mating season when their home-range can be up to one square km.
