Caption: Bat-eared foxes (Otocyon megalotis) around their den. Bat-eared foxes are very good diggers and live in dens with multiple entrances and chambers, and several metres of tunnels. They inhabit grassland and savannah in eastern and southern Africa. The Serengeti (eastern) foxes are mostly nocturnal. These carnivorous animals mainly feed on insects, with termites and dung beetles making up 80% of their diet. Photographed in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, Africa.
