Caption: Lynx. View of a lynx (Lynx lynx) in snow covered terrain leaping in mid-air. It does this when it is ambushing its prey or when it stalks its prey and then pounces. The lynx is usually most active at sundown. A fully grown lynx has a body length of 80-130 cm and a body weight of up to 45 kg. It preys on rabbits, hares, birds and small deer. It is found in the forests of Eastern Europe, Asia and North America. Photographed in Flathead Valley, Montana, USA.
