The black-footed cat is one of the smallest species of wildcat, standing just over 20 centimetres tall at the shoulder and measuring around 50 centimetres in length. It lives in brushland and semi-arid habitats in southern Africa. The black-footed cat preys mostly on rodents and small birds. Photographed in South Africa.
