Caption: Cat anatomy. Side view of a cut-away through a preserved male domestic cat (Felis catus) with visible organs. At the rear end of the cat is the testis (small, pale sac) which joins to the vas deferens. The long, yellow section seen beneath the spinal column is the large intestine. Beneath the large intestine is the bladder (pale) from which the ureter runs to join with a kidney (red). The coiled section is the small intestine, above which is the spleen. To the right of the small intestine is the stomach (pale yellow). Below the rib cage is the liver (dark red). The heart and lungs are contained within the rib cage. The oesophagus (grey) runs from the throat down through the neck.
